Christian Health Associates

Christian Health Associates (CHA) is a non-profit corporation whose success comes through nurturing the varied associates that operate under the CHA umbrella an umbrella that connects resources to needs in the community by facilitating a network of faith-based and community organizations, providing technical assistance, sharing opportunities for shared resources, and administrative support.

Alaska Medical Missions – Alaska Medical Missions receives donations of fully functioning medical supplies and equipment from a number of sources, including hospitals, manufacturers, private medical facilities, and individuals. A volunteer labor force collects, inventories, and stages donated items in a warehouse facility, after which they are distributed by short-term mission teams, church youth groups, career missionaries, airline personnel, and others traveling via Alaska to impoverished countries.

Anchorage Project Access – Increases access to health care for low-income uninsured members of the community by using a volunteer network of over 600 providers working in a coordinated fashion to create a compassionate, respectful, equitable, accountable, and efficient program of necessary services for those in need.

Anchorage School-Based Health Centers – The Anchorage School-Based Health Centers (ASBHC), in partnership with the Anchorage School District, provide care at Anchorage Middle and High Schools to keep students healthy and in school.

Cornerstone Recovery Clinic – Cornerstone Recovery provides complete, comprehensive evaluations of one’s physical, emotional, social, and life circumstances; including treatment, support, and referral for services to begin the recovery journey. Our agency allows a safe place to address the addiction while offering clients restoration and healing with their relationship with God.

Healthy Smiles Forever – HSF provides improved oral health through the implementation of screening, treatment, and preventive services in assisted living and long-term care nursing facilities. In 2016 HSF started serving the 85 residents at Prestige Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care Center.  HSF expanded and built a clinic to begin serving the approximately 165 residents of the Anchorage Pioneer Home in 2019, and again in 2021 with the opening of the clinic in Maple Springs in Palmer, helping an additional 75 residents. HSF provides preventive services, restorative services, denture services, and non-surgical extractions in the on-site dental clinics one to two days a week.

Together with these organizations, CHA is able to reach many more local and global communities. Learn more at ChristianHealth.org.
