Linda King

Linda joined Cornerstone Health Counseling in August of 2005, where she also serves as Clinical Director.  She is recognized by most insurance companies and provides therapy for most mental health issues (anxiety, depression, etc.).  Linda works with individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents.  Her areas of interest include trauma, communication, codependency, domestic violence, pre-marital couples counseling, and parenting.

Linda has advanced training in play therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).  She also has an extensive history in pastoral counseling and working with church leadership. Linda was born and raised in New Mexico and has lived in several states and overseas.  She has been married for over 40 years.  After twenty years in the Air Force, living in several states and overseas, they settled in Las Vegas, Nevada.  There Linda received both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  

Before leaving, she built a thriving private practice while working part-time on a church staff.  She moved to Alaska in 2005 to be close to her son and three grandchildren and escape the heat.  Linda is recognized by Focus on the Family to provide services, has been a speaker for Positive Parenting and Beyond Borders, and led other groups throughout Anchorage.
