Janet Huff

Janet earned her master’s degree in mental health counseling at Divine Mercy University in December 2020.  Janet holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Alaska, Anchorage.

​Janet is married with six adult children.

​​Janet is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Yoga Teacher’s Alliance.

​​Ms. Huff has developed focused counseling skills in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma and supporting clients recovering from bipolar disorder using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills. 

She also enjoys working with couples contemplating marriage or needing help with marriage problems using Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) and skills from the Gottman Institute.  She is trained in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and first aid for psychological trauma from the Center for Trauma and Resiliency Studies at Divine Mercy University.  She is trained in level 1 for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
